KMOP – Education and Innovation Hub, Greece

KMOP, established in 1977, is one of the oldest civil society organisations in Greece offering social support services and implementing various programs aimed at empowering and enhancing the well-being of individuals and communities.

KMOP established KMOP Education & Innovation Hub, with the aim to create a knowledge hub that offers access to a wide range of educational programmes, resources and trainings, capitalizing on the knowledge that the organization has gained from its extensive work in the field.

Our training programmes provide individuals with the tools and skills they need to success in all aspects of life and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable future for all.

DEUTSCHE SCHULE ATHEN, Germany

Deutsche Schule Athen (DSA), established in 1896, is one of the oldest German schools abroad and the only one in Athens. It offers all levels of education, implementing a German curriculum with a strong emphasis on Greek culture and language. It provides a comprehensive educational experience that extends far beyond the traditional classroom setting, especially notable in its preschool, its focus on education for sustainable development, and its involvement in European projects.

DSA aims to develop responsible citizens committed to environmental preservation. This involves instilling critical thinking, judgment skills, and sustainable action principles in students. The school utilises programs like Erasmus+ for discovery-based learning focused on real-life situations, integrating sustainable development into the curriculum.

DSA’s involvement in European projects is extensive and integral to its educational philosophy. These projects offer international experiences, which instill core values such as understanding, respect, and tolerance in interactions with different cultures, thereby fostering the identity of students as politically responsible citizens in a unified Europe.

ROKIDS, Germany

Rokids is a private day care center founded in Germany (Lingen) in 2008 by the Rosen Group. Our educational learning concept focuses on each child individually. Our motto “we discover the world” underlines our approach of providing individual educational support in the development of each child’s own abilities. We focus on the children’s interests and provide them with a stable and loving foundation for their lives. We create opportunities to support children’s development through a variety of activities.

As we are linked to a global technology-based company, we also focus our education around nature sciences, digital learning and bilingual language acquisition. Each of our groups are provided with an English-speaking educator, so that the children get the opportunity to learn English through immersion.

OULUN KAUPUNK, Finland

The Educational and Cultural Services of City Oulu is responsible for early childhood education, basic education and youth care, upper secondary and adult education, and also for leisure and cultural activities. A total of 5,539 employees with different professions are employed in Educational and Cultural Services (ECS), most of them (4,000 employees) in kindergartens and schools.

In Oulu, the fifth most populous city in Finland with 210,000 inhabitants, there are 12,000 children in early childhood education, 20,000 students in basic education, and 4,000 students in upper secondary education.

CASA DO PROFESSOR, Portugal

Founded in 1979, Casa do Professor is a distinguished social solidarity association in Portugal that gained the status of public utility organisation in 1999. With the support of 11,000 teachers (and their families) across all education levels, the organisation actively participates in socially oriented initiatives, scientific training, and cultural/recreational activities.

The Training Centre has successfully certified 6,439 educators through a diverse range of workshops and courses over two decades, making a significant contribution to nationwide professional development.

The multidisciplinary team at the Pedagogical Innovation Centre excels in various dimensions, overseeing projects in arts, languages, sciences, technologies, supervision, coordination, and more. Playing a pivotal role in driving internationalisation plans, it actively participates in Erasmus+ projects.

It also hosts the Fi-bra Music Academy and the Cantabile Choir Group, both actively contributing to youth musical and human development, while Claraboia fosters cultural activities, and the social project Novelos de Afetos-Meadas de Partilha, addresses educational equality for underprivileged children, emphasising social responsibility through collaborative partnerships.

SÃœDWIND, Austria

Südwind Verein für Entwicklungspolitik und globale Gerechtigkeit (Association for development policy and global justice) has over 40 years of experience in Global Citizenship Education, awareness raising, advocacy, campaigning and media work on topics of global justice, human rights and sustainable development.

Südwind has been involved in a large number of transnational EU projects, developing educational tools for use both in the classroom and online.

Südwind has 7 regional offices all over Austria and long-term relations with many stakeholders in the educational sector.
